Bronx Dance Academy believes in creating a respectful, rigorous, collaborative, and creative environment where our geniuses participate in a rigorous performing arts education that provides opportunities for personal growth and development into independent thinkers and life-long learners.
Mission Statement
Bronx Dance Academy's mission is to provide a comprehensive and nurturing learning environment where all students excel. Our focus is on raising student achievement by infusing the arts into the school’s entire curriculum. Dancing and the visual arts are an important part of the fabric of our school. Staff and parents work collaboratively, to improve the quality of standards-based instruction, while respecting the diversity of our school community.
Instructional Focus
At Bronx Dance Academy we are preparing leaders for college and career through a rigorous thematic curriculum, the preforming arts, and embedded technology. We are focused on using data to drive our instruction, and Increasing engagement through discussion about culturally relevant texts and topics.
Our students deepen their knowledge of mathematical concepts and reading comprehension across all content areas through our thematic curriculum, exploring the themes of: identity, change, community and relationships, and perseverance.
