Opening a NYC Schools Account is the first step towards becoming more involved in your student's education. Link your children and start monitoring things like their grades, test scores, and attendance. You will also receive updates via text messages or email about school closures, emergencies, and upcoming events.
Your family will use a MySchools account to apply to BDA and to compare, and apply for, public high schools. Get started by creating an account. Then explore your children’s personalized school options and get guidance on the admissions process from start to finish.
Summer Rising is a city-wide partnership between New York City Public Schools and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Summer Rising is free and available to all NYC students in grades K-8, pending seat availability.
Students in Summer Rising will have access to both academic and enrichment programming over the course of the day, including field trips, arts activities, and outdoor recreation. Programs will planned and operated collaboratively by school principals and community-based organizations (CBOs). The environment will be safe and supportive with staff prepared to respond to children’s social and emotional needs. Breakfast, lunch, and snack will be served. A typical day for students in grades K–8 will include a mix of academic support, social emotional learning, and enrichment activities.
Parents monitor their children's Google Classroom assignments by having the child login to Google Classroom and clicking the "Grades" Tab and "Assignments" tab. There are no separate parent accounts for Google Classroom, so parents don't need to create any new accounts.
However, please accept the Google Classroom invite email sent by your child's teachers to be added as a guardian on your child's account so that you can receive quarterly progress reports by email.
